Howl’s Moving Castle (2004) IMDB rating: 8.10 Plot: Young Sophie Hatter is cursed by the Witch of the Waste, and turns into an old hag. Ashamed of how she looks, she flees into the hills where a moving castle roams the hills. It is said to belong to the young and handsome wizard Howl, who has a bad reputation. Within the castle, Sophie befriends the fire demon Calcifer, who promises to help her become young again. One catch: she must help Calcifer to be free of Howl, and Calcifer cannot tell her how. However, Sophie agrees to stay and try to find out about the contract through other ways. Still, Howl can see that Sophie is under a spell like Calcifer can, and he falls in love with her for who she is and not for what she looks like. Sophie manages to bring life to the moving castle, and she helps Howl to face his former tutor, Madam Suliman.

Is a tampon supposed to hurt when you take it out?
K so i just started using a tampon last night so i used the light skinny ones. K so it says that you are not supposed to leave it in for more than eight hours. so i tryed to take it out and it hurt like crazy!!! and i have herd that it is maby because its to dry but i put it in when i was having a heavy flow so i think it should be absorbed by now. I have been wearing it for like eight hours.

It may be because your flow is light.
It may seem like a heavy flow to you, but to some, it may be considered light.
It’ll hurt if the angle you put it in at was a bit strange. Just pull it out slowly.

If you didn’t bleed in your underwear at all or the string isn’t red, it was because you didn’t bleed as much as you thought you would.

it might feel a bit uncomfortable the first time, and maybe a little painful, its different for everyone. Your body isn’t used to it…it should definatly be absorbed by now if its been in for eight hours…dont leave it in any longer as this puts you at risk of TSS… once your body gets used to it shouldn’t be painful…

Anyways, if you’re tense when you’re taking it out, it’s gonna feel a little awkward when your taking it out. Try to loosen up before you take it out.

your body probably isn’t used to a tampon and it might hurt. Also you really aren’t supposed to sleep with a tampon in. It might have something to do with that and you might have put it too far in. That happened to my friend and she had to go to the emergency room. Next time relax a little bit and maybe use a mirror when you put it in so you can see what you’re doing

Do you think the USA needs a new anthem?
Okay so I’m Australian, and decided to look up the lyrics for the Star Spangled Banner when I couldn’t make out what they were singing in a movie (The Stand if you must know).

The lyrics I found (on Wikipedia) were:

O! say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

So what I’m asking is, do you think that in the near future it would be good to, not completely lose the historical allusions in that song, but to maybe modify it to reflect contemporary American culture? Even if just some of the words and the scale was updated so that your average citizen could remember and sing more than the first couple of lines?

For comparison, this is the national anthem we as Australians officially accepted in 1984 after many years of contests and voting and God Save the Queen. I’m not saying it’s any better or worse, just that this is what we chose, and it has been modified somewhat.

Meet the Robinsons (2007) IMDB rating: 6.80 Plot: Meet the Robinsons is filled with extraordinarily inappropriate and insensitive messages about adoption that will be disturbing to many children. OK, TBS is showing "The Cat in the Hat" with Mike Myers. Now I love Dr. Seuss and all his stories but which is worst. In terms of acting Jim Carrey (Grinch) vs Mike Myers (Cat in Hat)? Story that was added on to extend the book? Sell out of Hollywood studios that killed a classic children story? I think Cat was the worst but the Grinch was not too far behind. What do you think?

I didn’t think either film was terrible, but Cat in the Hat was slightly more tolerable. It wasn’t a good movie, but it was some lighthearted fun. How the grinch stole Christmas was better acting-wise and story-wise, but it just really didn’t evoke any real "spirit" for me. I don’t think either film really "killed" the story, but that’s just my opinion.

I liked both movies but Cat in the Hat was the better of the two, in my opinion. In fact, I went out and bought a copy of Cat in the Hat and watch it for the hilarious scenes, such as when Alec Baldwin is covered in that purple slim. That cracks me up every time. Oh, I made a rhyme! lol

I rather enjoyed Jim Carrey as the grinch, i remember seeing it in the theaters when it came out and bursting out laughing more than a couple of times, plus the visuals are impressive and the message of the story is still there..now the cat and the hat movie was just awful…
